Istanbul... Aku Datang

Last nite, Mum came to my room after her Isya' prayers.  She plant her butt nicely on my high bed.  Ooooh i tell you, she always have a hard time climbing up my high bed, hihihihi i would smile and gave out a small giggle whenever she yield to lepak on it.  Eh, awal2 dah side track.  Ok, back to track.  Mum came into my room and she flipped the Eve magazine and she stared hard on the Home & Decor section. 

"Eh, ni gambar rumah kita kan?" she said.

Ya, my bad.  I forgot to tell her that our home was featured in Eve Magazine Volume 2.  Gegeggeege thanx to my dear galfwen EliannaO, who made her way to the airport during my recent trip to perth, to pass me the magazines.  Mak is like me, 1st thing dia perasan was Itzy in the magazine :)

Still flipping the pages, when she suddenly said, "Best kan kalau dapat pergi Istanbul?  Gi Turkey... Masa mak pegi Aqsa dulu, sejuk.  Bila ko nak belikan mak baju sejuk?"

I looked at her and said, "Best, memang best!  Adik pun rasa macam nak gi sana lagik.  Rindu ngan masjid2 kat sana.  Tak leh challen masjid2 kat Spore.  Sana besarrrrrr Mak, ooooooo, kalau tak gi, rugi Mak! And ada satu masjid ni kan Mak, adik terpegun bila masuk sebab dulu masjid tu church tau Mak.  Abih ntah camner bertukar jadik masjid.... nama masjid tu akan2 nama Mak tau, Hagia Sophia, kan macam Hajjah Safiah?"

   

Yes, Hagia Sophia, originally a church which was later converted into a Mosque and now, a museum.  

I was there in 1999.  And that was my last flight with my team before i hang those blue kebayas in my wardrobe as memory. 

The moment I stepped into the mosque, aku terpegun.  The exterior looks ok-ok lah but the interior.  Subhanallah, Maha Suci Allah.  Lawa!  When you look above you and the surrounding, it is showing Islamic elements especially on the top of the main dome.  Tetiba terasa macam dalam Blue Mosque and yes, Blue Mosque is also one of the OoooooLaLa mosque i have ever stepped in besides Masjidil Haram & Masjid Nabawi.

Ku bilang Mak, kalau mak ada rezeki, ni kali gi lah Umrah + Istanbul ke or Umrah + London ke.  Sambil beribadah, kita melancong. 

"Umrah + London? Jejak Rasul tempat yang mana kalau kat London?" Mak mencela.

"London Bridge....." aku bergurau.  Hihihih

Buat Mak, adik slalu doakan mudah-mudahan Allah SWT memberi mak kesihatan, keberkatan dalam setiap amalan dan sentiasa dimurahkan rezeki agar satu hari, Mak dapat pergi tempat2 sebegini.
