Ok peeeppps, last month i shared abt "KnoWinG yOUr PartNer'S ReacTioN"... So tis month, let A.Prof Zue share wif you some tips to become a GreAt MoMMa!!!! 

Tis blog entry is specially for DeaRiE SaLiNa...cos you've requested for more tips :)

EherrrMmmsss... To be a "BeSt MoMMa iN da WorLd" is not an easy task.  It consist of great responsibilities.  Sometimes, things that we tot it was the best for our angels & jewels may not be even the best of the best.  But instead, the best that we tot may lead to the wrong path... till it creates ConFuZioN to your children to differenciate which is RigHt & which is WroNg.

Ok, here are some tips for MoThers2Be, MoMMaz, iBus, MaMas, uMMis, MuMMiEs, eMaKs and all the mothers "yaNg seWakTu DenGanNya"...

1. QuaLiTy TiMe...
   Try to spend QuaLiTy TiMe wif your angels & jewels...I know its kinda hard esp for those working mommas who requires great commitment towards her career.  But hor, as a mother, you should be GeNiUs enuf to divide time between work & family esp on the children's educations. 
   *** As for me, i created individual timetable for IZ, AQ & myself.  I know it sounds farnie but hor, it works for me.  Cos if i ter-accidentally forget to do revision wif them @ 8pm everyday, at least IZ will remember cos our timetable are almost identical. ***
2. Do nOt bE tOO eMoTioNaL...
   All mothers lurVe their children, rite???  So to be a good mother, you should not be too emotional when comes to punish ur children.  When your children did a mistake, it should be followed by a punishment.  But do not be "too eXtRemE" when comes to punishing cos if you follow your BoiLinG PoinT, it will destroy ur kids.  But that does not mean you have to be lenient if they did something wrong.  Cos if you spare them from being punished, they may be confused and will not learn to be independant, in result they will foreva cling to you... like MaMa BoY :) 
   *** Thats the reason why my kids hate me cos i'M a MonSteR MoMMa.  Every mistake they make, after being warned for a total of 3 times but they still insist on doing it... hahhahaa, NoTTy CorNer you go or RoTaNnnnZzz!!!! ***
3. aLways shOw gOOd eXampLe...
   Kids learn from concrete examples and they learn tis by observing all the good & positive examples esp from their parents.  So never ever use harsh words when talking in front of them.  Never ever quarrel in front of them (tis is a promise between me & hubby up till today....).  All these ReaLiTy ShoWs acted by you & spouse will naturally motivates the kid to follow.  And some, when they watch tis ReaLitY ShoW, they will grow up naturally as a child wif LoW MoraLe.  Kesian kan, would you like ur children to end up like tis???  No rite... clever mommas!!! So to refrain them from becoming like tis, choose your words wisely during daily conversations.  Always reflect goodself in front of them so that they too will learn from it and therefore develop into a GooD PerSoN.
4. ExpLaiN tHeiR MisTaKes...
   Tis is similar to PoinT2 where mistakes should be punished.  In tis point, every punishment sentenced should be explained clearly so that they will try not to repeat the same mistake all over again :) But kids are kids, no matter how you said NO, they will still try to do it.  And in the end momma "FeninGs KePaLa' so the answer is simple.  If they dare you by repeating the same mistake over & over again, you should also be firm and punish them over & over again, aHaKs!!!  In the end, they'll feel tired and declare DefeaT.
5. LeTTinG tHe KidS tO iNteRRupT...
   Kids simply lurves to InTerCept conversations and they do that becos they wan ATTENTION! Never let them overcome you so hafta StoP iT!  By letting your kids to continue intercepting, they will carry on wif this RUDE habit till the rest of their life.  And this bad habit, it will develop into "BoChaP" character and don be suprise if they grow up being harsh towards others.
6. RefRaiN fRoM giVinG EmPty ProMiSeS...
   Never ever promise something which is beyond your ability or easy to say, "eMpTy ProMiSeS".  Should you have promised but could not deliver, the kids will be disappointed, in result it will drop your creditibilty in their eyes.  In addition, don blame them if they dont listen or start not to believe all ur words.  The reason is simple, cos they lost trust in you.
7. NeVeR pamPeR kiDs wiF LuXuRy...
   Kids lurves suprises and suprises should be OnLy given on certain occasions.  But if you pamper your kids on every other weeks with gifts & luxury, don be suprised if they will be spoilt by ur own cruel deeds, hihihiih... try to teach them the meaning of hardship for example, only suprise them wif gifts if they excel in their educations, or during their birthdays BUT never promise them as it will then develop into BriBerY... duuuhhh!!!
   *** I always share wif both my heroes on all the hardship i went thru during my childhood.  We don even get the taste of birthday presents during those days... and as i came from an average family so we do not have any luxury to buy "masak2 toy".  What we did during those days was to collect stuffs from the seaside and recyCle them into pots & pans, the cockle shells & ice-cream sticks we recycle them into spoons... creative kan?? I miss kampong life!!!! ***
8. LisTeN tO TheiR ProBLeMs...
   Who said only adults have problems, don be suprise cos kids too have problems.  When your kids faces a problems, do not take it easy.  Instead, talk to them and have an open kid's talk esp during playtime or after revision time.  Listen to their worries wif 100% attention, give them advices and give them a chance to solve it themselves.  If you can guide them to solve their problems, it will be the best medicine for them!!!!
